Our Goal
The Aiden Goodwin Foundation appreciate that families who have children fighting cancer are provided with expert medical care throughout their journey, and the treatments available are some of the best in the world. However, we have experienced first hand that the effects of a child suffering with cancer, extends to the far corners of your family, and effects each person in some way. From the child suffering with the illness, through to the sister or brother trying to be brave and supporting their parents, to the parents trying to protect and make things better for the whole family.
The goal of The Aiden Goodwin Foundation is to bring a little happiness to the children with cancer and their families who are going through this awful time. To be able to provide a time to be away together, to relax, enjoy, escape their daily routines, and to help create memories they will never forget.
The way in which we hope to do this, is by raising enough funds to purchase and maintain a new eight berth caravan based on the Combe Haven Site near Hastings. Families can use the caravan at a time that is convenient for them, and it will be maintained and cleaned to a standard suitable for children who may be suffering the side effects of chemotherapy such as Neutropenia. Full disabled access will also be provided.
In order to achieve this, The Aiden Goodwin Foundation is completely reliant on donations. We plan to hold various fund raising events going forward, of which we will be eternally grateful for your support and generosity.
